Turkey, Greek Islands and Greece

Our first trip to Europe in over a decade was to Turkey and Greece, the heart of the old Ottoman aka Byzantium aka Roman aka Greek Empire.
Go below to connect to each captivating city and landscape: Istanbul, Kapadokya, Ephesus, Bodrum, the Greek Islands, Athens and
the Peloponnese Peninsula.
Any invader within thousands of miles of Turkey conquered it.  In turn Turkey conquered Greece after the Romans
and Crusaders, leaving Greek ruins dating back to 2,500 B.C.E. (Before the Common Era).  Turkey's diversity is especially impressive
because for the most part, all religions are still tolerated--a shining example to both Europe and the Middle East which Turkey straddles!
